Inspired by a societal amnesia habitual in urban and industrial China, this project explores, investigates and romanticizes the subject of a collective denial, the aftermath of a potential prospect, and a forgotten feeling of consolidation.
The subject matter of the photographs are residues of Japan’s bubble economy era from the 1980s to the 1990s such as resort towns, water dems, and other structural remains.
